Rex Miles Bradford our beloved Husband, Dad, Poppa, 75, of Salt Lake City, died April 5, 1998 at his home.

He was born October 19, 1922 in Spanish Fork, Utah, a son of Miles and Ruby Bradford. He graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 1940. He married Luella Bevan on March 5, 1943 in the Salt Lake Temple. He attended Providence, Amherst, New York City College and graduated from BYU. He served in Europe with the U.S. Army during World War II. He taught at Springville Junior High School, Plymouth School and Valley Junior High School. He was an administrator with the Utah Department of Employment Security for 28 years and retired in 1980. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in leadership positions, including many years as Bishop of the Rose Park Third Ward. Rex and Luella celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary last month.He is survived by his wife, Luella; his daughter, LaVon (Frank) Mills, West Valley City; son, Steven (Susan) Bradford, Salt Lake City; sisters, Fern (Harold) Burrows, Mt. Pleasant; Fay (Ward) Turner, Roy; Blanch (Lester) Gee, Spanish Fork; brother-in-law, Tom (Nina) Duke, Salt Lake City. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Grace Bradford Duke; and a grandson, Adam Bradford. His family and friends are grateful for the 75 wonderful years we shared with this generous and loving man. He was a good example for us all.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 8, 1998 at 11 a.m. in the Rose Park First Ward Chapel, 800 North 1153 West, Salt Lake City. A viewing prior to the services will be held from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Friends may call at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple on Tuesday, April 7, 1998 from 6-8 p.m. Interment Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South .
