Marilyn Simons Zobrist returned to her Heavenly home Friday, April 3, 1998.
She was born July 16, 1927 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Charles W. Simons and Dorothy Cox Simons. She was a homemaker and a mother, who raised her seven children in Las Vegas. She spent her life loving and serving her husband, her children, her 34 grandchildren, and her one great-grandson. She loved to sew, crochet, and travel with her sweetheart, Ray. She was an active member in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in many positions, most recently as a greeter in the Las Vegas Temple.She is survived by her husband, Ray V. Zobrist; sons, Ray Howard (Cheryl) of Sandy, Utah; Alan (Rachelle), David (LuAnn) both of Las Vegas; daughters, Peggy Walker (Dave), Lorilyn Milford (Mark), both of Las Vegas; Susan Johnson (Dallin) of Woodland HIlls, Utah; Terri DeMille (Bryan) of St. George, Utah; sisters, Jean Jacobson, Audrey Meadow, Frankie Tea, and Catherine Dowsett, all of Salt Lake City.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 6, 1998 at Palm Mortuary on Cheyenne, and one hour prior to services Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Meadows Stake Center on Cheyenne and Mustang. Interment will be at the Memory Gardens Cemetery.
