Thomas Edward "Ted" Durrant, age 72, passed away April 3, 1998 in a Price Hospital.
He was born october 9, 1925, in Winter Quarters, Utah to John L. and Annie Harrison Durrant. Married Pauline Roseman December 21, 1946 in Price. Member of the LDS Church. Lifelong resident of Carbon County. Served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Pacific. Member U.M.W.A. Kaiser Steel Local #9958, where he retired with 36 years of service. Member of the American Legion Price Post #3 and the V.F.W. Miners Post #2379."Ted" loved sharing time with his family, who enjoyed his wonderful sense of humor.
Survived by his wife, Pauline R. Durrant, East Carbon City; four children and their spouses, Donny and Pam Durrant, Helper; Rick Durrant, Mesa, AZ; Debbie and Dennis Lake, Sunnyside; Stacey and Larry Leyba, East Carbon City. Also survived by 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents; sons, Kenneth and Dennis; brothers, Jack and Max.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, April 7, 1998, 11 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will be at Mitchell's on Monday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday one hour prior to services. Friends are welcome at Mitchell's daily from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Interment, Price City Cemetery.
