John (Jack) E. Christensen, 79, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away April 3, 1998.

He was born January 9, 1919 in Bingham, Utah to Vaughn and Ada Jackson Christensen. Married Mary Aileen Sabey in Salt Lake City, Utah on December 20, 1984. Jack grew up in and loved Bingham, Utah. He loved to golf, fish, and spend time with his friends, neighbors and family. Retired from Kennecott with 43 years of service. He was a Captain in the U.S. Army during World War II. Jack was a member of the Midvale Canyon Lodge #13 F&AM; Past Treasurer, Deputy Lecturer, Masters Shrine Club, York Rite, Scottish Rite, A&AS Rite of Utah, 32nd Degree Mason, Past Patron Martha Chapter # 7 OES, and a member of the Chanters.Jack was a good friend and caring neighbor. Jack met Aileen in 1984 and married into an instant family. We will all miss Jack and his happy positive attitude about life. 10-2 & 4.

Survived by his wife, Aileen; stepchildren, Robert Dale Bagley (Sylvia), Terry L. Bagley (Judy), Ted Bagley, Orin E. Bagley (Catherine), Pamela K. Sommer (Stan); 26 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; cousins, Helen West, Jean and Ward Warner, Joyce and Sherm Hatfield. Preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services Tuesday, April 7, 1998 at 11 a.m. in the Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State where friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday one hour prior to services. Interment, Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

The family extends thanks to the staff of Willow Wood Care Center.
