Peter Netten, of Salt Lake City, died peacefully on Friday, April 3, 1998 at Crossland Care Center.

He was born October 8, 1908 near Trochu Alberta, Canada, the son of Peter Netten and Antonia Beauchman. In 1929 he settled in Seattle, Washington. In October 1942 he enlisted in the Army Air Corps and served in the Pacific Theater until discharged in 1945 when he came to Salt Lake City. He was employed at Capital Chevrolet as office manager and later general manager and part owner until he retired. In 1951 he married Leone Papworth in Salt Lake City. She died in 1989.He is preceded in death by his brother, Cory, and survived by his sister, Tonny Garmire of Seattle, WA; nephews, C. Michael Margetts (Geri) and Elwood Watts (Carolyn); and niece, Marilynn M. Robison (Brook). Pete is also survived by sisters-in-law, Afton Margetts and Bea Nechanicky.

The family wishes to thank Crosslands Care Center for the care they provided to Pete and also to Stan Johnson who was such a good neighbor and friend.

Funeral services will be held at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, on Wednesday, April 8 at 1 p.m. A viewing will be held one hour before the services. Interment at the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
