VistaCare will join 2,000 other groups nationwide to host the Hospice Foundation of American's fifth annual National Bereavement Teleconference, "Living with Grief: Who We Are, How We Grieve," on Wednesday, April 22. The live, via satellite video teleconference will explore how such factors as culture, spirituality, gender and age influence the experience of loss and expression of grief.

VistaCare will sponsor the conference in three locations along the Wasatch Front: Westminster College auditorium, 1840 S. 1300 East in Salt Lake City (call 293-1656 for information); Weber State University Marriott Health Building Room 101 in Ogden (399-5232) and the Historical Utah County Courthouse Ballroom, 51 S. The panel will include Ronald K. Barrett, professor of psychology at Loyola Marymount University who studies cross-cultural differences in death and dying; The Rev. Kenneth J. Doka, Lutheran minister and professor of gerontology at the College of New Rochelle; Bernice Catherine Harper with the Health Care Financing Administration; Patricia Murphy, a nurse specializing in ethics and bereavement at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center; and Dr. Bradley Stuart, hospice medical director for Hospice of Northern California.
