You can satisfy your chocolate craving and help raise money for a good cause on Thursday, April 9, at the West Valley City Hall, 3600 S. Constitution Blvd.

"A Chocolate Affair" begins at 6:30 p.m. and proceeds from the event help the South Valley Sanctuary, a home for victims of domestic abuse.For $5, guests will be able to sample all of the competition chocolate desserts and vote for their favorite. Other desserts will be auctioned off.

South Valley Sanctuary is a nonprofit emergency crisis shelter with 54 beds and 12 cribs for victims of domestic violence and their children. It also has a 24-hour crisis line. It depends upon donations of food and clothing, and also relies heavily on volunteers.
