Beloved husband, father and grandfather, age 69, passed away April 1, 1998, in an automobile accident.

Born September 1, 1928, son of George T. and Elizabeth (Brown) Dimond in Salt Lake City. Married Marlene Cox on Nov. 15, 1954 in the Salt Lake Temple. He graduated from Granite High, attending BYU and U of U. Served an LDS Western States Mission and in the Korean War. Retired from Mountain States Supply Co. in 1994 after many years of dedicated service. Active member of the LDS Church currently served as High Priest counselor in Olympus 3rd Ward; formerly in bishoprics of Crystal Heights Ward, also on the Highland Stake High Council. Avid golfer; loved Jazz basketball; and enjoyed many friends.Survived by loving wife; three sons, Doug (Vickie), Scott (Tori), Dale (Holly); and three daughters, Diane (Bryan) LeFevre, Nancy (Harold) Mascarenas, and Corinne (Scott) Bailey; 16 grandchildren; sister, Fern Hill; brother, Earl (Marilyn) Dimond; brothers and sisters in-law, Fern and Ed Philpot and Glen (Helga) Cox. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Ray and Max.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 6, 1998, at 12 noon, at the Olympus 3rd Ward, 4100 South Camille (2480 E). Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Sunday evening, 6-8 p.m. and Monday, at the ward 10:30-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Mountain View Memorial Estates, 3115 East 7800 South.
