The woman who was found temporarily insane four years ago after cutting off her husband's penis was acquitted of punching and scratching her mother.
Lorena Gallo, the former Lorena Bobbitt now using her maiden name, returned Thursday to the same courthouse where her 1994 malicious wounding trial drew international attention.This time, Gallo was accused of attacking her mother Dec. 5 in a fight over family bills. But Elvia Gallo testified that she was the one who started the fight and denied her daughter hit her. She dismissed the marks on her skin, seen in police photos, as pimples.
Judge James Robeson concluded there was insufficient evidence for a conviction.
