It's taken nearly four years, but the Grizzlies finally have an IHL player of the month.

Utah center Kip Miller became the first player in Grizz history to receive that award, when the league honored him on Friday for his torrid play during March.Miller, the IHL's current player of the week, had 12 goals, nine assists as the Grizzlies went 8-5-1 last month. He is fourth in IHL scoring with 90 points.

The 28-year-old Miller was the MVP of the IHL All-Star Game in February, and he is the Grizzlies' second-leading career scorer with 196 points.
