James Walter Jim Oldham, 75, of Panguitch, Utah, died on April 2, 1998 in Panguitch.
He was born, February 14, 1923 in Spring Glen, Utah, to James Pearson and Bessie Mollard Oldham. Married, Verda Houston, December 24, 1945 in Price, Utah. He worked many years as a house painter and belonged to the Painters Union, Locals #300 and 77. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy.Survived by wife, Verda, of Panguitch; children: Iris (Gary) Weise, Renton, WA; James D. (Pamela) Oldham, Auburn, WA; Richard (Janet) Oldham, Panguitch, UT; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother and sisters: George (Mary) Chino, Ogden, UT; Olive Magann, Bountiful, UT; Evelyn (Jim) Terrell, Murray, UT; Lois (Ralph) Ricks, West Valley City, UT. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Alfred Chino, Jack Oldham, Doug Oldham, sisters, May Herbst, Ester Wardal and Gladys Sanford.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 6, 1998 at 11 a.m. in the Panguitch 4th LDS Ward Relief Society Room, 550 South 100 West, Panguitch, where friends may call Monday morning after 10 a.m. Burial will be in the Panguitch Cemetery with Military Rites by the Panguitch American Legion Post #25.
