EWP Engineering of Salt Lake City has won a $6 million contract to help prepare environmental cleanup plans at Hill Air Force Base.

Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, who announced the award, said he had been concerned at what appeared to be delays in renewing a five-year cleanup contract that had expired last year.The contract to EWP is to perform feasibility studies and to development management plans for environmental restoration.

The contract is for up to $6 million for the first year of work, with four option years to follow.
