Stanley G Dimond, 76, our loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, was called home March 31, 1998.

Born June 23, 1921 in West Jordan, Utah to Albert Page and Beatrice Gardner Dimond. Married Geneal Buchanan in the Salt Lake LDS Temple July 11, 1945. Geneal preceded him in death December 29, 1991. Married Vivian Hardcastle in the Jordan River LDS Temple October 8, 1994. Stan was a lifetime resident of West Jordan where he farmed all of his life. He drove school bus for Jordan School District for 39 years. He also served as President of the Welby-Jacob Irrigation Company. In 1975 he was named as the "Outstanding Farmer of the Year" for the State of Utah. An active member of the LDS Church, he served in many callings including bishop. And for several years he served as a temple worker. Stan was Manager and Co-Owner of the Dimond Family Associates.Survivors: wife, Vivian, West Jordan; children, Harold (Carolyn); Gary (Ruth), all Wendell, Idaho; Roger (DeAnn), West Jordan; Norman (Michelle), Fairbanks, Alaska; Judy Barfuss (Delon), Marietta, Georgia; Joyce Hansen (Conly), Logan, Utah; 36 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; Vivian's children, Tom (Rosalie); Terry Powell (Frank); Peggy Margetts (Mont); Brent (Pat), all Salt Lake County; Christine Seddon (Stephen), Michigan; 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; brother, Lee (Leola), West Jordan. Preceded in death by a grandson; brothers, Wayne and Arland.

Funeral services Friday, April 3, 1998, at 12 Noon in the Mountain View LDS Stake Center 9000 South 2901 West, West Jordan. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State Thursday 6-8 p.m. and Friday at the stake center, 10:45-11:45 a.m. Interment, West Jordan City Cemetery.
