Construction crews recently completed a modification of the gate shaft and chamber at Jordanelle Dam near Heber City.

The work was done to improve the lining of the gate shaft inside the dam's left abutment. Salt Lake-based Gilbert Western installed a drainage system inside the gate chamber to collect abutment seepage, installed a geomembrane lining on the ceiling of the chamber and placed a concrete lining on the walls of the shaft and chamber.The Bureau of Land Management administered the $3.2 million project.
