Victor John Orlandi Jr., 82, passed away peacefully March 31, 1998 in Sandy. Born March 22, 1916 in Butte, Montana, to Victor J. and Mary Ruffato Orlandi. Married Fredia W. Thom, Jan. 7, 1940 in Price. He worked in the coal mines for 35 years and was a member of the UMWA Dist. 22. He also was a member of the Catholic Church. He loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed his Wendover trips and traveling. He became an accomplished oil painter in his later years. He will be remembered for his crooked ball cap and always saying "Lets go, lets go". His life centered around his family.
He is survived by his children and their spouses, Vicki and Lloyd Keele, of Sandy; Rita and Kenneth Walker, of West Jordan; Rick and Kathy Orlandi, of West Jordan; Cathy and Andy Bogdan, of Salt Lake; Lashanda Orlandi, of Sandy; and one stepson, Al and wife Amy Reiger, of Salt Lake City; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Also survived by a sister, Rose Walls Saunders, of Indiana. Preceded in death by his wife and one grandchild, parents and brother.Funeral Mass will be celebrated, Saturday April 4, 1998 at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Helper. Friends may call Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State, Midvale and Friday evening from 6-8 at Fausett Mortuary in Price.
