Manuel V. Lovato, 78, passed away March 31, 1998 at a local hospital.
Born January 1, 1920 to Max and Navidad M. Lovato in Center, Colorado. Married to Eva O. Lovato for 51 years. Worked the shipyards in California, also the mining industry. Manuel loved fishing, camping, hunting, collecting his treasures, and most of all he loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Survived by his wife, Eva; sons, John (Jane) Lovato, Gilbert Lovato; daughters, Linda Valdez, Helen Lovato, Anna Bartholomew; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; longtime friend, Joe M. Salazar. Preceded in death by son, Lawrence; grandsons, Michael and Anthony; parents, brothers and sisters.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 715 West 300 North. A vigil service will be Friday, 7 p.m. at the Neil O'Donnell & Sons Mortuary, 372 East 100 South, where friends may call 6-7 p.m. Committal, Salt Lake City Cemetery, 4th Ave & N Street.
