Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Betty Gibson Mitchell, passed away peacefully March 30, 1998, surrounded by family in her daughter's home.

Betty was born November 21, 1929 in Hollywood, California, to Grace Best Gibson and William Joseph Gibson. She married James A. Mitchell, March 30, 1946 in Salt Lake City, and together they had four children. From the bright lights of Hollywood studios to the quiet family life in Salt Lake City, Betty lived a rich and full life.She was an accomplished artist, a lover of animals, a Utah Jazz fan and a collector of all things great and small. Her three constant companions, Mister, Cocoa, and Morris, will miss her greatly and have found a new home with her daughter in West Jordan. He greatest pleasure was spending time with her family.

Survived by her loving children, Steve (Lynda) Mitchell, Sandy; Kathleen Miller, West Valley; Stormy (Gary) Luplow, West Jordan; Tony (Trish) Mitchell, West Valley; grandchildren, Shelly Mitchell, Magna; Dustine Mourer, West Valley; sisters, Carol Freeman, West Valley; Marjorie Davis, Texas. Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Madge Davis, West Valley; Joan Antczak, West Valley; and Baby Kittie.

Memorial services will be held Sunday at 3981 So. Burningham Dr. (2020 W.) West Valley, 2-6.

In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation to the Betty Mitchell Kitty Fund, at Bank One, to care for her loving Kitties.
