Secretary of the Interior Bruce Babbitt will visit Utah on Thursday to announce that successful conservation measures have resulted in the spotted frog being removed from the endangered species list.

Babbitt will tour a riparian area inhabited by spotted frogs below the Jordanelle Dam near Heber City.Efforts by a variety of government agencies and the Confederated Tribes of the Goshute Reservation have preserved the frogs' habitat and protected them to such an extent that they are no longer endangered.
