Elaine Pace Barron, 78, passed away on March 30, l998.

Born Oct. 16, l9l9, in Marysvale, Utah, to William B. Pace and Juliette Lee Pace. Married Gail Barron in Reno, Nevada, on May 9, l942. Gail preceded her in death in l993. Elaine was raised in Richfield, Utah, and attended U. of U. Elaine and Gail raised their family in Payson, Utah, and moved to S.L. in l962.Elaine worked for the State of Utah Dept. of Business Regulation as Administrative Assistant to the Director of Real Estate. There she met many dear and lifelong friends. Elaine retired from a job she loved in 1983. She loved the beauty of flowers, the smell of spring, the colors in the fall. She loved her book club, and the special friends and relatives who enriched her life. The joy of her life were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandson. Their smiles would warm her heart.

Survived by her four children, Sidney (John) Thorum, Barbara (Tom Callen) Lehner, Bill (Faye) Barron, Julia (Jim) Hicken and her six grandchildren, Stacey, Jason, Jennifer, Tommy, Melanie, and Scotty, and special great-grandson, Luke. Of her eight brothers and sisters, she is survived by her brothers, Frank and Bill Pace, Julie Miner, and Barbara Brewer.

Memorial Services will be held April 2, 1998 at 9:30 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary, 2350 East 1300 South. Interment Larkin Sunset Lawn Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Joseph's Villa, 451 Bishop Federal Lane, Salt Lake City, 84115.
