Attorneys for an Orem teenager charged in the slaying of a Provo man requested more time before they reveal their client's disposition.

Lipina Lolohea, 17, is charged as an adult with murder, a first-degree felony. Police say that she struck her cousin's husband, 30-year-old Samuela Loseli, in the head with a metal bar in his apartment Feb. 10. Loseli was found dead in his car the next day by Juab County deputy sheriffs.Lolohea appeared before 4th District Judge Lynn W. Davis Monday. But for the third time, her attorney requested that a waiver hearing be continued to allow more time to gather evidence.

Defense attorneys and prosecutors may be working on a plea agreement, although they would not say what that could be. Lolohea will return before Davis April 20. If a plea bargain has not been reached by that time, Davis said, a preliminary hearing will be scheduled.

Lolohea is being held at the Utah County Jail on $100,000 bail. Her 15-year-old brother was charged as a juvenile with murder and remains at the Slate Canyon Youth Center.
