Four people were injured during a four-car accident Friday night.
A southbound Ford Mustang on 900 East near 1100 South passed a car and tried to get back into the inside lane when it lost control, said Salt Lake Police Lt. Arthur Healey. The Mustang crossed the center line and hit a northbound Mazda Protege on the side, Healey said. The Protege spun out of control and struck a parked pickup truck.
The Mustang continued in the northbound lanes and crashed head-on with a Ford Bronco.
Traveling in the Mustang were Joseph Atkin, 16, and Nicole Parkinson, 16, who were treated and released from LDS Hospital.
Traveling in the Bronco were Bryan Daley, 30, who was listed in fair condition at University Hospital Saturday night, and Carrie Sutton, who was treated and released from University Hospital.
The driver of the Protege was not injured.
Wet road conditions played a role in the accidents, Healey said.
