Two Bentleys face a Rolls-Royce with its traditional mascot atop the grill at a meeting of Rolls-Royce enthusiasts in Paulerspury, north of London. To the chagrin of the Rolls aficionados, owners of the prestigious British carmaker announced Monday that German automaker BMW has been given the nod to take over Rolls-Royce Motor Cars for $570 million. The Rolls-Royce Acquisition Consortium and another group of Rolls fans are still hoping to offer bids, but analysts gave them little chance of succeeding.
