When a disability or accident occurs, people need timely, accurate information.

To address these needs for the more than half-million Americans who have lost or are missing limbs, the Amputee Coalition of America has established the National Limb Loss Information Center in Knoxville, Tenn. The center will provide educational and rehabilitation information and support services, including answers to questions about health-care options and referrals to doctors and rehabilitation professionals.The center is funded by a public-private partnership between the Amputee Coalition of America and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta.
