The Utah Watercolor Society will host a conference for artists on Friday, April 17, noon-4 p.m. and Saturday, April 18, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at Westminster College, 1840 S. 1300 East. Speakers will be: Nathan B. Winters, Tony Smith, Bonnie Phillips, Borge Anderson, Osral All-red, Diane Pratt, James R. - Williams Fine Art has received a number of paintings by Howell Rosenbaum, one of the foremost Depression-era painters in Utah. Rosenbaum, originally from Brig-ham City, studied at Utah State with Calvin Fletcher. Later he studied in New York. Rosen-baum was known for his bold colors and expressionist images.
