Police have raided Larry Flynt's downtown Cincinnati adult bookstore, possibly giving the porn publisher the legal showdown he has been seeking with local authorities, Flynt's attorney said Saturday.

A dozen officers armed with search warrants seized business records from Flynt's Hustler bookstore Friday night and closed the store for almost four hours.Cincinnati Police Captain Fred Ramsey said the records would be reviewed to determine if charges should be filed for violations of the city's recently enacted law governing sexually oriented businesses.

The law requires businesses that sell a significant portion of pornographic material to operate only in designated industrial zones far removed from the downtown area.
