A new $250,000 Millard County office building will be in the spotlight Monday, March 30, at an open house in Delta.
The public is invited to participate between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Refreshments will be served. The new building was built on the grounds of the former one and gives county officials almost double the space. Construction started last summer.
In deciding to build the structure in Delta, it was concluded by the county commission that new construction would be less expensive than remodeling and upgrading the old building.
Fillmore is the county seat of Millard County but offices for the schools and government are also located in Delta.
It is anticipated the new building will be used only for county offices and not for other purposes, such as civic club and public meetings. It will be used for motor vehicle and assessor offices, the county planner, building inspector, county commission and the courts.
