Dr. Thomas H. Caine, professor of internal medicine at the University of Utah, has been honored for his lifetime achievements through an endowed chair. It is titled the John Rex and Alice C. Winder Presidential Endowed Chair in Internal Medicine in Honor of Thomas H. Caine, M.D.

Alice Winder, who died in 1993, often praised Caine, who cared for her for 13 years, as "the epitome of the compassionate, dignified and skillful physician."Caine also was honored by another endowed chair, established by Ann G. and Jack Mark.
