Wouterina Belt, age 87, passed away peacefully at home on March 24, 1998.

She was born to Wouterina Van Dongen and Pieter Dingeman Kleinjan on August 10, 1910 in Leiden, Netherlands. She married Jacobus Everardus Belt on April 29, 1936 in Leiden, Netherlands. The family immigrated to the U.S. in 1952. Jacobus preceded her in death in 1959.Wouterina was an active and devoted member of the L.D.S. Church, having fulfilled a mission in 1975 to her native Holland. She also fulfilled a mission in 1980 to Charleston, West Virginia. At the age of 83, she was called to serve as Relief Society President of the Salt Lake Liberty Ward. She was devoted to genealogy and temple work.

She is survived by her seven children, Rieneke (John) Vigil, Salt Lake City; Jack (Jolene) Belt, Roy; Bob (Donna) Belt, Grand Lake, OK; Al (Beth) Belt, Salt Lake City; Heber (Diane) Belt, Capitola, CA; Pete (Debbie) Belt, Santa Rosa, CA; Liz (Brad) Child, Naperville, IL. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 28, 1998 at 10 a.m. in the Salt Lake Liberty Ward, 445 East Harvard Avenue. Friends may call from 6 to 8 on Friday, March 27, 1998 at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 255 South 200 East and 8:45 to 9:45 before the services at the ward. Internment in Ogden City Cemetery, 602 20th Street.
