Florence E. Meadows, age 93, passed away peacefully in her sleep at St. Joseph Villa in Salt Lake City, Utah, after three years of living with cancer.
She was born in Webster Township, Dexter, Michigan to Albert Edward and Mary E. Benton Benz. She was a resident of Ann Arbor, Michigan most her life. She moved to Salt Lake City in 1985 where she lived at Friendship Manor for 12 years. She was a graduate of Ann Arbor High School and the University of Michigan.Survived by one daughter, Mary E. Meadows of Park City; three grandchildren, Scott A. Thompson of Salt Lake City, Todd M. Thompson and Trevor J. Thompson both of Pacific Palisades, California; and two great-grandchildren, Parker and Olivia Thompson, both of Salt Lake City; sister, Elizabeth Maier of Huntington Beach, California; brother, Robert G. Benz of Orange City, Florida; niece, Margaret Hough of Huntington Beach, California; and nephew, William Maier of Chelsea, Michigan.
Florence's family will miss her unconditional love, graciousness, and wise words of advice. Her friends and acquaintances often referred to her as a lady with class.
At Florence's request there will be no services. Cremation has taken place. Interment will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery, Ann Arbor, Michigan.
