Utah State captured its second Big West women's gymnastics title in three years following a come-from-behind win here Saturday.

The Aggies scored 194.525 points to edge second-place Boise State (194.275). Cal State-Fullerton (187.050) finished third.Utah State got off to a slow start on floor, but came back with strong performances in the vault and bars. Still the conference title came down to the Aggies' beam routines.

Krissy Richards scored a 9.900 and Kerry Griggers added a 9.800 to give USU a 49.025 beam score - tying the team's season-high and the third best score in school history. Boise State finished with a 48.645 on the beam.

In the all-around competition, the Aggies' Christy Denson finished second with a 39.175.

Utah State advances to postseason action April 4 at the NCAA Midwest Regional meet in Phoenix.
