The Provo Mountain Rescue Team pulled a stranded climber from the cliff above "Y" mountain Thursday.
Paul Krogue, a Brigham Young University student from Washington, was free climbing in terrain that exceeded his capabilities, said Provo Police Lt. Stan Eggan. Krogue's climbing partner alerted authorities to his situation about 10 a.m.An advance search team found Krogue on the "Y" trail attempting to hike down. He was suffering from hypothermia, exhaustion and dehydration, Eggan said. Krogue collapsed shortly after rescuers found him and was rushed off the mountain on an all-terrain vehicle.
Krogue was treated at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center and released later Thursday.
