Elna Clark Jensen, 80, died March 18, 1998 at the Brigham City Community Hospital.

She was born July 21, 1917 in Farmington, Utah, the daughter of Nathan George and Esther Lauretta Ford Clark. She married G. Hortin Jensen on March 17, 1939 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was a member of the LDS Church, attending the Brigham City 1st Ward. She served in various capacities in her ward, most notably as Relief Society President and she also served in the Box Elder Stake Relief Society Presidency. She had worked at the Intermountain Indian School and for the Air Force at Thiokol Corporation. She enjoyed quilting, needlework and ceramic china painting. She belonged to the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She was above all a devoted mother and grandmother.She is survived by her husband of Brigham City; two children: Maureen Smith, Alberta, Canada; Grant Clark Jensen, Morgan Hill, California; six grandchildren: Brian, Carmen, Michael, Amy and Grant Smith, and Jennifer Keeler; four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Noal Clark, Sacramento, California; two sisters: Vera Sandberg, Los Gatos, California, and Elizabeth Noyes, St. George, Utah.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 23, 11 a.m. at the Brigham City 1st Ward, 236 East 100 South, Brigham City, Utah, with Bishop Paul Braithwaite conducting. Friends may call at the Myers Mortuary, 205 South 100 East, Brigham City, on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. and on Monday from 10-10:40 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
