Jordan's King Hussein and his American-born wife, Queen Noor, were honored by the Simon Wiesenthal Center for trying to bring peace to the Middle East.
More than 600 guests attended the awards dinner Monday at the Waldorf-Astoria. Olympic medalist Tara Lipinski, former football player Rosey Grier and golfer Greg Norman were there, shoulder to shoulder with Henry Kissinger, Donald Trump and Arab and Israeli diplomats."Certainly our hopes were for greater progress . . . for the people of the entire region to enjoy the freedom of working together," the king said. "That this has not been achieved is true. But it must and it will, God willing."
