A man who said he had a gun escaped with a bag full of money after robbing a Murray bank Monday.
The man, wearing a baseball cap and a jogging suit, entered Bank One, 6255 S. State St., about 4:30 p.m., said Murray Police Lt. Dee Rowland. He told a teller that he had a gun and demanded money. The teller loaded his bag with cash and the man rushed out. He escaped but probably won't spend much of the money, Rowland said. A dye bag exploded as he left, giving him a bag full of orange-stained cash.
The man has blond hair, weighs about 220 pounds, appears to be 30 years old and is about 6 feet 3 inches.
