Claudia Heath Ostler, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away March 16, 1998 after a long and courageous battle with lung disease, hours after receiving the gift of life from another. Her soul humbly rejected such a gift.

Born January 18, 1944 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Emmett and Minnie Heath. Married Roy Ishida. Divorced. Married Tom Ostler November 26, 1979. Tom provided quality care to his loving wife. Claudia was a loving and caring person. She loved animals and cared for them dearly even when she could barely do so. Claudia loved the outdoors and she dreamed of the day when she could walk freely along a streamside fishing, enjoying the clean mountain air. You almost made it. We love you.Survived by husband, Tom; son, Mike; stepsons and daughter-in-law, Todd; Tom and Jackie; father, Emmett Heath; brother, Emmett Heath; sister, Patricia (Jim) Berlin; nephews, Russell (Tina); Conan; sisters-in-law, VeLois (Roman); Beverly (Stan); Leah; brothers-in-law, Robert (Luana); Robyn (Carolyn); John (Cindy); and five grandchildren. Preceded in death by her mother, and by Tom's parents Langford and Myrtle.

Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Friday, March 20, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon. Graveside services and interment will follow at the South Jordan City Cemetery at 12:30 p.m.
