Robert Dodenbier, age 70, peacefully passed away Saturday, March 14, 1998.
He was born January 6, 1928 in Arnhem, the Netherlands, to Bernardus and Catharina Dodenbier. He served in the Royal Dutch Airforce and immigrated to the United States in 1950. He married Christina A.E. Mook on October 12, 1951 in the Salt Lake Temple. He was a member of the Ogden Forest Green Ward and loved serving the Lord. He was best known for his ready smile and enthusiasm. He was known as the friendly Dutch Fuller Brush Man, whose customers always became his friends.He is survived by his wife, Christina; four sons, Robert F. (Wendy), Bruce A. (Marilyn), Don E. (Kristi), Jeffrey B.; three daughters, Yvonne (D. Allen) Miller, Christy (Kevin) Clark, Jennifer (David) Casey; and 26 grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Francis Schouten; and two brothers, Joseph Dodenbier and Bernardus Dodenbier.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 19, 11 a.m. at the Forest Green Hills Ward, 1401 Country Hills Drive, Ogden, with Bishop Roger Stratfrod conducting. Friends may call Wednesday March 18, from 6-8 p.m. at Leavitt's Chapel of Flowers Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, and at the Church Thursday morning from 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Lakeview Memorial Estates, Bountiful.
