Edna Guymon Bailey, 80, returned to her Heavenly Father and husband on Friday, March 13, 1998, due to congestive heart failure.
Born December 29, 1917, in Fountain Green, Utah, to Charles Edward Guymon and Eliza (Lyda) Anderson. Married Earl William Bailey on May 8, 1935; later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple.Edna enjoyed her family, doing beautiful handwork and quilts, which she was very generous in giving to others. She loved sports, especially fast-pitch softball, basketball and bowling. She especially enjoyed her association with the bowlers and was involved as an historian for the SLC Bowling Association. She enjoyed music and attending the shows at Lagoon. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
Survivors include three sons, Edgel (Veta), Rexburg, ID; Ray, Billings, MT; Dale (Anne), Sandy, UT; brother, Fred Guymon, Orem, UT; two sisters, Deneice Blackham, Moroni, UT; Marjorie Reville (Joe), Midvale, UT; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents and a brother, John.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 18, 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Mortuary, 727 North 400 East, Bountiful. Friends may call Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday, 10-10:45 a.m. at Lindquist's. Interment, Fountain Green Cemetery.
