Grace Nielson Olsen, age 95, passed away Thursday, March 12, 1998, at Manor Care Nursing Home.

She was born October 30, 1902, in Ephraim, Utah, the daughter of Joseph Mons and Marie Mickelson Nielson.She was a member of the LDS Church, Relief Society president of the Park City 2nd Ward, Beehive leader for 15 years in Park City 2nd Ward, taught Primary in Grant 2nd Ward, served as counselor in Relief Society in Grant 2nd Ward and was a Relief Society visiting teacher for over 55 years.

She was a member of Springview Camp, Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She quilted with a group of Grant 2nd Ward sisters every Monday and Tuesday for 20 years and made quilts for all of her children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren.

She is survived by three children, Melvin R. (Helen) Olsen, Keizer, OR; Jack E. (Betty) Olsen, Huntington Beach, CA; and Jolene (John) Prickett, Salt Lake City, UT. She is also survived by one sister, Helen Shipley, Salt Lake City; 14 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd A. Olsen; three brothers; one sister; three infant sons; one son, Robert L. Olsen; one daughter-in-law, Donna Olsen; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 17, 12 noon at the Grant 2nd Ward, 711 East 3225 South, Salt Lake City. Friends may call at the ward one hour prior to services. Funeral directors, Leavitt's Chapel of Flowers Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden. Interment, Ephraim City Cemetery.
