Today, March 13, 1998, the sun was brightly shining as our eternal companion, dedicated daughter, loving and supportive mother, best "Grandma Sheck" and dear friend went back to decorate her heavenly mansion.
Wilma Deloris McCray Ingersoll, was born June 5, 1940, at home on Rural Route 2, Fairland, Oklahoma, weighing in at a glorious 2 1/4 pounds, to her parents, Esther Buckallew and Hubert Leo McCray. Mom moved to Salt Lake City, in l954 with her parents and siblings, Doris Quinn (Dave), whom she was proud to share her birthday with two years apart, Sonny McCray (Jean), Cecil McCray (Charlien), and Dora Carter (Bruce). On October 2, 1959, she married the love of her life and eternal companion, Raymond Danford (Dan) Ingersoll, with whom she shared 39 incredible, fun filled, humorous years. On August 18, 1977, they were sealed for time and all eternity together with their children, Cindy Jones (Casey), Gary Ingersoll (Jeannette), Diana May (Jim), Paula Ingersoll, Marianne Ingersoll, and Sandra Erekson (Jason). Her dedication, love, and support, along with her vivacious personality will be sorely missed by her beloved grandchildren, Danny Fellows (Amber), Annie Fellows, Laurie Ingersoll, Casey Jones Jr., Chris Jones, Preston May, (her favorite football companion), Morgan May, Paden May, Nicholas Erekson, and a granddaughter, Audrey Wilma Erekson, who she will usher down to earth in June. She had great delight in her great-grandchildren, Lacee Fellows, and Jerra Ingersoll.
She had more dear friends, lunch mates, and shopping buddies than imaginable. She loved to spend and dedicated her time to her family, making moments such as Christmas and Birthdays something to remember. Most of all....she cherished her soul mate and companion and loved to spend time in the car seeing and feeling the beauties of the earth. Our lives will be forever changed but she has left huge imprints on all our hearts. We will forever remember her contagious laugh and her big beautiful dimples. Until we meet again, let there be "Sunshine in your soul."
