Marie Kindred Webster, Rexburg, Idaho, died March 9, 1998.

Born March 29, 1907 in Springville, to John Rueben, Jr. and Mabel Mower Kindred. Graduated from Brigham Young University in Home Economics, in 1929. She came to Rexburg in the fall of 1929 to begin her life-long Home Economics teaching career at Madison High School. She also taught at North Fremont High School in Ashton and at Sugar-Salem High School in Sugar City. She guided and provided a loving, positive, happy influence to many, many young women and future mothers themselves throughout the Upper Snake River Valley.Married Elmo Reed Webster, June 1, 1931 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. LDS Church long-time temple worker at both the St. George and Idaho Falls Temples. In 1978-80 she served a mission in the South Carolina-Columbia Mission. In 1981 she received the Outstanding Home Economist Award from Ricks College recognizing service to Ricks College and Utah State University, and the public school system.

She is survived by her children, Virginia (Val) Wynn of Escondido, California; Bert Reed (Barbara Jarman) Webster of Beaver Creek, Ohio; and Robert Kindred (Lexi Robinson) Webster of Davis, California; her brother, Ted Ross (Iris) Kindred of Tujunga, California; and a sister, Elizabeth (LaVar) Nelson of Twin Falls.

Funeral, Friday, March 13, 11 a.m. in Rexburg at Flamm Funeral Home. Interment Rexburg Cemetery.
