Gladys Summerhays Fullmer passed away on March 10, 1998 at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center. She was 93 years of age.
Gladys was born on November 21, 1904, to George Franklin and Dora Brewer Summerhays in Salt Lake City, Utah. She married Louis Warren Fullmer on October 25, 1923. They were sealed in the St. George Temple on October 1, 1953. She lived in Southern California for 41 years. Louis died December 27, 1960. She was active in the LDS Church for many years, serving as organist in the Primary and as speech director in the YWMIA. She wrote a song called, "Temple in the City of Angels" which was played at the dedication of the Los Angeles Temple.She is survived by her sister, Lois Lambert (John); brother, Kenneth Summerhays; sisters-in-law, Barbara Summerhays and Della Summerhays; son-in-law, Earl G. Watson; granddaughters-in-law, Deborah Watson and Vicki Lynn Watson; grandson, Robert Louis Watson; great-granddaughter, Victoria Marie Watson; great-grandsons, Ronald David Watson and Christopher Robin Watson and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her son, Warren, who died at 2 years of age, her daughter, Marjorie Watson, who died in 1995 and a grandson, Ronald Earl Watson, who died in 1977, she also had four brothers and a sister who preceded her.
Funeral services will be held Sat, March 14, 1998 at 11 a.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
