Evelyn Western Robison, age 83, died March 8, 1998 at St. George.
Born August 19, 1914 at Deseret to F. M. and Eva Delora Black Western. Her mother died 10 days after birth. Raised by Aunt Eliza and Uncle Lloyd Cropper. Early years in Deseret. Attended A. C. Nelson School, Hinckley High School, Univ. of Utah, Excelcis Beauty College. Married Max J. Robison, November 23, 1934 in Salt Lake City. Later solemnized in Manti LDS Temple. He died December 1, 1987. Lived in Beaver Dam, Arizona, St. George, Cedar City. Moved to Delta 1941. Returned to St. George for health reasons in 1988.Active member LDS Church serving in various capacities. Loved music, enjoyed singing in choirs, sports fan, avid reader. Worked with Max, a Utah Oil Refining Co. distributor, later AMOCO. Remembered for her beautiful handwork and many afghans, made and given to family and friends. Devoted to children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, always remembering special occasions. They knew how special they were to her.
Survived by sons and daughter: M. LaVoy (Karen) Robison, Littleton, Colorado; Janeen (Kay) Gardner, Orem; Stan (Cathy) Robison, Delta; 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; sisters: Venice (Newel) Knight, Delta; Melba Jacobson, Delta; brothers: Grant (Lucille) Western, Smithfield; Harold (Mary Lou) Western, Deseret; Wayne (Delores) Western, Sandy. She was preceded in death by four brothers; five sisters.
Funeral services on Friday, March 13, 1998, Delta 3rd Ward. Friends call at Nickle Mortuary, Thursday, March 12, 1998, 7-8 p.m. and at Church, Friday, 10-10:45 a.m. Burial, Fillmore Cemetery 3 p.m.
