Clarence Elmer Pace died at his home Mar. 8, 1998.
Clarence was born Oct. 9, 1916 to Amos Franklin Pace & Emma Margaret Tree. He was born and raised in Hoystville, Utah. He graduated from North Summit High School where he was Student body President his Senior year. He attended Brigham Young University and graduated with a B.S. degree. He taught school for 40 years in Summit County, Wasatch County; where he was principal of the Charleston Elementary School, and in Utah County.He met and married Thora Hill Van Leuven in 1939. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple and were blessed with five children. He was a member of the LDS Church and was a High Priest. He held many positions. He was ward and stake dance director. He served on the Stake Sunday School Board and taught many Priesthood and Sunday school Classes. He loved all sports and was a basketball player and a hurdler.
He is survived by his loving wife Thora; and his five children, Janet and Wayne Alder, Grace, Id.; Karen and Roger Ching, Honolulu, HI; Jerry and Barbara Pace, Colorado Springs, CO; Lonny and Carolyn Pace, West Jordan, Ut; and Roger and Diane Pace, Santee, Ca.; 26 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; six brothers; one sister; and one grandson.
Funeral Services will be held 12 Noon, Thursday, March 12, 1998 at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 So. The family will receive friends Wed. March 11th from 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the services. Interment Valley View Memorial Park.
