Eula Peterson Denny, cherished wife, devoted mother, and loving grandmother returned peacefully to her heavenly father on March 8, 1998. She died as she lived, surrounded by the love of her family.

Eula was born August 11, 1921 in Broadus, Montana to Burt and Martha Peterson. She moved to Utah as a young woman where she met her eternal companion, Edgar M. Denny. They were married on August 20, 1947 in the Salt Lake Temple. This past summer they celebrated 50 years together.Eula raised 10 children, making many personal sacrifices for her family. She was appreciated by neighbors and friends for her homemade bread and cinnamon rolls. When her children were small she spent hundreds of hours each year sewing new clothes for Christmas. She organized regular family events, including the annual Denny Family Campout and Denny Family Christmas Party.

A very important part of her life was service to others. Giving many hours to personal service, church callings, and her work as a registered nurse, she quietly made many lives richer and hearts stronger. She especially enjoyed working with organizations within the LDS Church relating to children, such as Special Primary and Pennies by the Inch. She was a devoted companion with her husband when he served as a church Mission President. She also served as Matron of the Salt Lake Temple for three years, where she was beloved by temple workers and patrons.

Eula is survived by her husband; and by children, Kalyn Denny, Sandra (Clayton) Draper, Pamela (Kelly) Willey, Mark (Lisa) Denny, Janet (Jon) Howell, Vida (Dan) Clark, David (Amy) Denny, Laurel (Carl) Stouffer, Rand Denny, (Alyson Klug), and Valerie (Jon) Ostler. Also survived by 37 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and one sister, Rosalie Price.
