The City Council approved a new ordinance Tuesday allowing residential care facilities for elderly and disabled people as a conditional use.

The new ordinance opens the door for Beehive Homes, a chain of residential care facilties, to begin building two new homes in West Bountiful. Residential care facilties are mutliple-resident homes that provide room and board with minimal medical care for people who can no longer live alone but don't have the need for rest home care.
