Farrel Louise Hamby Wright, 80, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away March 5, 1998 in Sandy, Utah from cancer.

Born August 25, 1917 in Grace, Idaho to James and Rachel Farrel Hamby. Married Charles T. Wright in Salt Lake City, Utah on July 31, 1937. He preceded her in death September 25, 1981. Fay was an active member of the LDS Church and loved doing temple work at the Jordan River Temple. She was active in Special Olympic activities and showed love and concern for everyone.She became known as a "good will ambassador" for the Sandy Regional Care Center, whose caregivers are given a special thank you from Fay's family. The family also expresses appreciation for love shown to Fay by Carol and Dean Sharp, Marlene Fritz and all of Fay's many friends.

Survivors: sons and daughters, Keith Wright (Carla), Carthage, North Carolina; Frank Wright (Sharon), Draper; Allen Wright, Murray; Margie Wright, West Jordan; Carol Wright, Sandy; special friend, Edith Pickett, Sandy; 10 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Norma Tucholski . Preceded in death by son, Gene Wright; parents; brother, Jack; daughter-in-law, Betty Wright.

Funeral services Tuesday, March 10, 1998 at 11 a.m. in the Sandy, Utah West Stake Center, 586 East 8400 South. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Monday, 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, Sandy City Cemetery.
