Richard Henry Watson, 47, passed way on March 4, 1998 in Salt Lake City, of cancer.

Born July 29, 1950 in Salt Lake City, to Jane Conely Watson and the late Henry Watson. Married Elizabeth Wilson (daughter of L. Keith and Marge Wilson) September 7, 1973 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He served an LDS mission in Sweden, and then graduated from the University of Utah Graduate School of Architecture in 1976. He worked for American Stores until 1987 and was a vice president at Huish Detergents. Richard loved traveling to Sweden and staying at his cabin in Montana during the summer.Survived by his wife, son, Alex, daughters, Alison and Addie; brothers, Robert, and Michael (Katrina). Preceded in death by his father.

The family would like to thank the staff of C.R.C at the University of Utah Hospital for their devotion and loving care of Richard. Also included with many thanks to Dr. Wolfe Samlowski.

Funeral Services to be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 9, 1998, at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 South Highland Drive, where friends may call 8:45-9:45 a.m. prior to services.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the Huntsman Cancer Research Center care of Arthur Swindle at the University of Utah.
