Here are dance events that will take place during the week.

- THE REPERTORY DANCE THEATRE will hold its annual benefit gala Saturday, March 14, at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center, 138 W. Broadway (300 South).The fund-raiser, titled "Tango In the Rose," will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a buffet dinner/dance, cabaret style.

Guest performances slated throughout the evening will be given by professional ballroom dancers.

- THE SALT LAKE SCOTS will present a Celebration of Celtic Music and Dance at the Cottonwood High School Auditorium, 5715 S. 1300 East, Saturday, March 14, at 7 p.m.The Salt Lake Scots' pipe and drums will team with Tir Na N'Og and the White Heather Dancers for the evening's performance. Music from "Braveheart," "Riverdance" and "Titanic" will highlight the evening. Tickets will be available at the door for $6.50 per person or $30 per family.

- BALLET WEST will hold company auditions Sunday, March 15, at the Capitol Theatre, 50 W. 200 South, beginning at 10 a.m. The auditions will take place on the third floor.

Ballet West has height requirements. Men should be between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet 1 inch tall, and women should be between 5 feet 4 inches and 5 feet 7 inches tall.

The company pays competitive union salary rates for five home seasons, a summer residency in Aspen, Colo., and Park City, and national touring.

Dancers should bring a photo and resume. An audition fee of $10 is also required. Due to space allotment, Ballet West suggests auditioners reserve a place by calling company manager David Tompkins at (801) 323-6907.
