Kassidy Johnson, the 16-year-old Lehi girl who survived a train-car collision Sunday in the Vine-yard area, remained in serious but stable condition Friday at University Hospital.
Her family and friends are setting up a trust fund to help pay the medical bills."It's going to be a really huge bill," said Brenda Johnson, Kassidy's sister-in-law. "And we have so many people asking us how they can help. We thought this would provide a way. We really appreciate all the calls. She was very, very loved."
Donations may be made through any First Security Bank in the name of Kassidy Johnson.
Johnson and a friend, Daniel Price, also 16, of Ogden, were attempting to cross the tracks at 300 S. 2000 West, Lindon, in Johnson's car when the accident occurred. Price died at the scene.
