FBI agents here have arrested a man suspected of robbing a bank in Lehi.

FBI spokesman Jack Callahan said agents arrested Chad Caldwell, 25, in the parking lot of the Kingman airport Friday afternoon. Agents believe Caldwell was planning to catch a flight, but they were able to keep the plane on the ground in Phoenix long enough to make the arrest in Kingman.A First Security Bank branch in Lehi was robbed just after it opened at 9 a.m. on Thursday. Lehi Police Chief Karl Zimmerman said a man showed a teller a gun under his coat and gave the teller a note demanding money.

The man received an undisclosed amount of money, took the note from the teller and left the bank. Police believe he fled on foot into a nearby neighborhood.

"At first we thought he had a vehicle, but he was still on foot a block and a half way from the bank," Zimmerman said.

A resident in the neighborhood saw the man cut through his backyard, but the gunman was not seen again.
